A LARGE gathering of present and former members of Coota Art & Crafts thoroughly enjoyed the 50 anniversary luncheon held on October 10.
Included was the first president of the association, Dawn Elrington.
Particularly pleasing was the attendance of some former members who no longer live here.
Thank you to those current members who put much time and effort into organising this function.
The display of craft brought back memories of what has been done over the years, and memories of the talented people who enjoyed passing on their skills.
With Armistice Day, coming up, some members have been knitting red poppies which will be on display at Southern Cross Retirement Village.
A craft which may be returning to popularity is spinning, so if there is anyone interested in this activity, phone the centre, on 6942 2395, for information.
