On January 6, between 11pm and 11.18pm, a man was driving on MacKay Street. He was stopped by police for a random breath test on Gundagai Road.
The driver failed the roadside breath test and later returned a blood-alcohol level reading of 0.164 at Cootamundra police station.
“The driver was found to be disqualified at the time,” Cootamundra Local Area Command crime manager Inspector Scott Wilkinson said.
The driver was charged with high-range drink driving and for driving while disqualified.
Inspector Wilkinson said the man was granted conditional bail until he faces Cootamundra Local Court on February 5.
