A-grade was dominated by Sydney outfit Galaxy, which prevailed 11-5 in a grand final showdown with Canberra team Pepperoni.
Pepperoni had previously stunned the highly fancied Boneheads 13-4 in the semi final, but didn’t quite play with enough spice to get the job done in the final.

Highlighting Galaxy’s dominance was their 54 tries for and just 12 against in the preliminary rounds.
Galaxy’s Carly Walsh said the team didn’t lose a game during the entire carnival.
They’ve been coming to Cootamundra for the last seven years and Walsh said it was their sixth win in A-Grade.
“We’re very competitive,” Walsh said.
“We use Cootamundra as our first training session back.”
Walsh said the carnival was an opportunity for the team to prepare for the Australian National Touch League competition in March, where they will play for the Sydney Rebels.
The core of the team includes players who’ve play for the Rebels and represented the Australia women’s 27s and New Zealand open mixed players.
"We can trial players in different positions, it’s good for us to play actual games with different structures,” she said.
“We’re mixing it up and seeing what works. We can’t do it in Sydney because we know what we’ll do when we play against each other.
“It’s good social competition and everyone’s having so much fun, we’ll come back every year. It thanks to Cootamundra putting on a good show.”
Meanwhile, Granite Transformations downed Blue Tongues 10-3 in the B-grade final, while Family Hotel Tigers won the C-grade title after toppling Flip Floppers 5-2 in the decider.
