Last year’s edition, The Resurrection Ball, drew hundreds across the Riverina after the ball was canned following the 2015 event.
Now, event organiser James Philpot is hoping a slow start to ticket purchases will pick up in the coming weeks.
“I’ll admit we’re down on numbers – ticket sales have been a little slow thus far – but online interest has been good,” he said.
More than 140 people have already registered as attending on the Facebook event but more are tipped to follow with their wallets.
“We usually get a big influx of sales later on but we’re really encouraging pre-purchase this year,” Mr Philpot said.
The event will have a slightly different flavour in 2018; organisers have tipped an increased focus on bands and there’s a change-up to camping arrangements as well.
“It’ll just be Saturday night camping this year and we’ll be providing more entertainment,” Mr Philpot said.
“One of our local DJs will play a set and we’re also getting some great talent from around the place, including up-and-coming country singer Miss Lancaster.”
Officer-in-charge of Riverina Police District’s Cootamundra Cluster inspector Frank Brown said officers would be allocated to the event.
“Last year’s BnS was well behaved from memory and we’ll have officers down there again this year,” he said.
“It’s a good event and we hope it will go well again.”
Inspector Brown recognised there were some noise complaints last year, something organisers are confident in avoiding.
“We know there was some trouble with nearby residences last year so hopefully keep the event to Saturday only will help that,” Mr Philpot said.
The ‘Marchin’ Into Coota’ BnS will kick off at 8pm on Saturday, March 31.
The event will again be managed by the Cootamundra Strikers soccer club and tickets are available online and at the Home Tavern.
