A fitness revolution for farmers and rural communities arrived at Stockinbingal and has already been hailed a success by organisers.

Active Farmers launched on March 3 at the village’s recreation ground.
Fitness trainer Annie Nichols led the launch event and will be leading exercise sessions twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays.
“The launch showed what a great community Stockinbingal is – supportive, fun and hardworking,” Ms Nichols said.
“I am excited to be starting Active Farmers at Stockinbingal because these communities are the backbone of Australia and should have access to physical activity and social networking opportunities.”
Active Farmers was first started by Ginny Stevens from Mangoplah from south of Wagga and events are now held across NSW and even as far away as Tasmania.
“I couldn't be happier with the efforts of Annie and everyone who came along,” Ms Stevens said.
“I believe Annie is going to provide a great service to the Stockinbingal community and will really make a difference to the physical and mental health of all involved."
Active Farmers is sponsored by Delta Agribusiness and Cootamundra branch manager Andrew Adams said Delta Ag’s staff were conscious of their own health but also the customers they worked with each day.
“Being able to partner such a proactive organisation as Active Farmers is a very positive and practical way to bring that message, and more importantly, the opportunity to our satellite communities,” Mr Adams said.
