In the A grade women, the Family Hotel Tiras and South West Fuels played a close match, with the Tiras winning by just one try.
Captain Kristen Byrne said it’s the eighth premiership the Tiras have won.
“This year was probably our biggest change, we had a few new [players] and I think we had a few losses and a few draws this year,” Byrne said.
“It was a bit different, but because we play footy together it kind of carries onto touch.”
Byrne said the win on Friday getting to the final match was thanks to the team effort.
She also highlighted the efforts of Renae Glanville and new players Olivia and Sophie McDermott.
In the mens’ A grade, the Family Hotel We Are Family were in control of their game against the Central Hotel Sharks.
The We Are Family beat the Sharks by seven tries to win.
Steven Chant said the team “had won a few times” in the past with the core of the team working with a few new faces.
“[The Sharks] have been good competition all year and had done well to get that far, it was the first time they made it to an A grade final, so it was a good effort by them.”
