The paper’s pages were packed with happenings from schools, sporting fields and beyond.
Cricket was still winding up at the time, but as well as that there was;
- A leadership camp weekend was held for the young people in the district.
- School students got behind the Clean Up Australia Day efforts.
- The Cootamundra Sports Foundation revealed Graeme Cheshire as the Sportsperson of the Year for 2005.
- Cootamundra Strikers kicked off in their first trial, but the coach was pleased with the effort despite a loss.
- Sacred Heart Central School received a new Australian flag from then Member for Riverina Kay Hull.
- And there were plenty of smiles at the Stockinbingal Fair that year.
