It was noted that more generous donations were in evidence and were gratefully acknowledged.
The two main items discussed during the meeting were the Mother’s Day raffle and the May street stall.
The raffle started April 11, selling at IGA, and will be drawn May 10 with three very good prizes to be won.
The street stall is on Friday, May 4 in front of Westpac Bank from 9am.
Lots of delicious goodies will be available.
So come, peruse and choose.

BELINDA Downey, the Cootamundra Hospital manager, called in during the meeting to give an account of what has been happening during this last month at the hospital and also to mention anything they require in the process of running the hospital.
One particular need Belinda mentioned was a "Billy Blanket" used as special protection for anyone sick needing to be transported.
It was decided by the meeting to purchase this item, the price being about $7000.
We now know what the money made on the stall and raffle will be spent on.
This being proof of what we always state that the money we make is spent for the benefit of our hospital.
Belinda also mentioned there is an extra supervisor nurse each shift as well as an extra mid-wife on call when needed and a very good connection between Cootamundra, Young and Wagga Wagga hospitals when required.
So health wise, we are in very good hands.
