Cootamundra Cluster’s officer-in-charge Inspector Frank Brown said the driver was stopped at the airport.
Inspector Brown said “indicating marks” matched the vehicle, however the VIN plate appeared to have been manipulated.
“An inspection of the odometer further indicated abnormalities from RMS records,” he said.
The Hilux will be forensically examined by the State Crime Command.
