IT WAS a great roll-up for Legacy Day bowls when 40 bowlers took to the green on Sunday for our annual Legacy Day fundraiser.

After the day’s play the boys from Legacy treated us to barbecue before the day’s winners, Debbie Kelleher, Frog Roberts and John Goggin, were presented with their prizes.
Legacy is a charity providing services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service. It currently cares for around 60,000 beneficiaries.
In second place was the Cootamundra Country Club team of Charlie Willis, Arthur Ward and Eddie Jarrott, while Bev Black, Wendy Deacon and Jim Deacon received the encouragement award for the day.

IN THE Mixed Pairs Championship Wendy Deacon and Henry Wilson played Marilyn Allan and Keith Hampton for a spot in the semis.
Wendy and Henry shot to an early lead and were never headed in their 22-11 win and now play Bev Black and Grumpy Fisher to securer a place in the final.

SOCIAL bowls Wednesday saw Ginger, J Huntington and Pickles seven shot winners against B Cosgrove, G. Snape and R Hillier 23-16.
J Jones, Froggy and the Duck struggled in their 11-20 loss to P Cockram, Rocky and G Hillier, while O Lopez and P Hoang accounted for T Cosgrove and A Small 21-15.

Friday had three games of pairs and two games of triples with J Huntington, K Hampton and A Small account for M Andrews, Rocky and Grumpy 20-14.
B Cosgrove, Ginger and Pickles narrow winners against J Jones, G Hillier and J White 21-19.
G Bushell and P Cockram too strong for GT, Snape and Froggy, while R Hillier and the Duck finished too strong for O Lopez and T McDonald winning 23-15.
Don’t forget the Club Triples Championship are this Saturday.
