If you haven’t been to TACC (The Arts Centre Cootamundra) could you say why not? Are you not arty? Do you think that there is nothing at TACC that would interest you?

I am the administration, the pens and paper, the bookings face of TACC, but one Friday in September, I went to the Open Studio of ‘Return to the River’ starring Angela French.
Ange is a classically-trained ballet dancer who is creating her own body of work in contemporary dance here in the rehearsal space of TACC. It was surprising to me that the work was relatable and realistic and beautifully danced.
Ange put her whole body and emotions on the line to try to underline the contrasts between her regional upbringing and her two years spent in Dubai, the man-made capitol of the world. Between dance and life, between the love of home and country and the passion of a life-changing talent.
Maybe I am not as un-arty as I thought! Maybe you aren’t either.
Saturday September 22, our two-year partnership with ‘Murmuration – Ripple Effect’ culminates with a final workshop for local kids and a presentation to the community combining all the arts with a cast of participants and professional artists.
Also for the school holidays, TACC has Monkey Baa Theatre coming for two performances of ‘Josephine Wants To Dance’ on Wednesday October 3, three screenings of the film ‘Duck Duck Goose’ and a children’s art workshop on Wednesday October 10 with Angela Coombes Matthews. Book now.
