Landmark in Cootamundra has opened a second location and added a new property manager, while Flemings Property Services has expanded into the town with the purchase of Ray White Cootamundra.
Landmark’s new property manager Kim Perry is a familiar face to many Cootamundra residents.
Ms Perry lived in Cootamundra for most of her life and is returning to town after some time working in Queensland’s Airlie Beach.
With more than 15 years of property management experience under her belt, she is already familiar with the district.
Property in Cootamundra is in high demand, Ms Perry said.
“I have three tenants on standby,” she said.
Ms Perry is working from Landmark’s new office at 208 Parker Street.
Flemings Property Services, formerly known as Boorowa Real Estate, is run by Justin Fleming and Richie Fleming, who despite sharing a surname are actually not related.
“Growth throughout this region is inevitable as rural communities become more popular,” Justin Fleming said.
“We are seeing that sales remain strong, rental accommodation is scarce, builders are busy with new developments, and both on a local and national level there is renewed interest in promoting opportunities for business and infrastructure within the region.”
Richie Fleming added: “While we are extremely excited about the new opportunity in Cootamundra, we also remain focused on our clients in Boorowa and Harden. We are anticipating a very busy spring across the region and our teams in all three offices are ready to take it on.”
The former Ray White staff will be remaining with Fleming Property Services, with the addition of Chris Ryan as general manager of sales.
It’s not just real estate that’s booming, with Cootamundra’s cafe culture thriving too.
Coffee on Cooper, Cootamundra’s espresso spot, has new owners.
Jane Thompson and Joanne McClintock are eventually hoping to use their background as care workers to give valuable work experience to young people.
For now, they are offering Australian grown coffee and tasty treats in the cafe they have owned for a month.
