On Saturday at the Stockinbingal Recreation Ground, the hosts amassed 5-166 and then bowled out the Shamrock Hotel Leprechauns for 98.
The star for the village side was Jack Caldwell.
The youngster scored 83 not out with the bat and he then grabbed 4-9 with the ball.
Caldwell who has just finished the HSC, has now scored 328 runs at an average of 164.
Caldwell has only been dismissed twice in his knocks this season.
In compiling a competitive score of 166, two excellent partnerships of note built the village side’s total.
Carldell and Sam Bush put on 43 runs with Bush making 22, while Caldwell and Allister Sides added 72 runs for the fourth wicket with Sides compiling a neat 35.
Set 167 runs for victory, the Leprechauns got away to a terrible start crashing to be 4-8 in the fourth over.
Then recuse mission started with Todd Lynch and Ashley Kober.
The pair added 76 runs with Lynch making 45 and Kober 27.
At the drinks break, 20 overs, the pair had the Leprechauns in control with the score at 5-84, and then the match was turned on its head as the visitors lost 6-13 from 7.4 overs to be all out for 96.
On Saturday Stockinbingal travel to Young to take the Saints at Miller Henry Oval.
Magpies suffer their first defeat
MEANWHILE, the Cootamundra Ex-Services Magpies suffered their first defeat of the season going to the Criterion Gunners at Mitchell Park.
The visitors batted first and compiled the very competitive score of 6-205, the Magpies fell 75 runs short in scoring 130.
On Saturday, the Magpies welcome the Shamrock Hotel Leprechauns at Albert Park.
