The president of the Ungarie Branch welcomed the members, having decorated with Christmas delights.

Ariah Park members had a wonderfully stocked trading table of Christmas goodies, and their members were congratulated on having held their 90th birthday celebrations.

Hume Group president, Mrs Tina Billing, distributed a card for the members to sign to be forwarded to Gail Commens who has been ill in a Sydney Hospital. We wish Gail well.

Members wore an orange ribbon on the day to encourage people to talk about Domestic Violence.

Outlining her report Tina spoke of the work being done by the State Hospital Support Committee.

This committee has been busy forwarding hospital bags for the mothers and babies in Forbes and Parkes hospitals.

This committee also supports Ronald McDonald House.

Lyn Braico, State International Officer, has arranged for Nutrimetics toiletries to be sent to the mothers at Ronald McDonald House.

It was suggested that branches, may donate to this committee to assist with sponsoring of the family room at John Hunter Hospital.

A reminder also for branches to support the association fund, which has been distributing drought relief funds.

Marlene Clark presented the trophies for Land Cookery, commenting “The Judge, Mrs Helen Robinson, from Wagga was impressed with the standard of entries.”

There were 40 entries, comprising cakes, jams and biscuits.

Margaret Smith from Bellarwi branch won the Dolly Andrews trophy for the fruit cake, also the Bev Martel trophy for the most points.

Congratulations to Margaret.

A vote of thanks was made to Marlene for all her work over the 12 months.

Dates were set for 2019, the first meeting will be in Junee on March 6, being Handicraft Day.

In closing Tina wished all families a safe, relaxed and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
