Cootamundra police officers made the arrest today and charged the man with three counts of sexual intercourse with a child.
Police will allege the man, aged in his 40s, committed the offences while he was a teacher at a Cootamundra school where the minor attended.

“There’s only information relating to this one particular incident.
“We’re calling on any members of the public for any information relating to this matter or any other matter of a similar nature to contact Cootamundra Police or Crime Stoppers.
“We’re looking for any information that could be dating back years, it could be dating back months during 2018.”
The man has been granted conditional bail and is set to appear at Cootamundra Local Court on February 4 this year.
