It proved to be a worthy final that saw Arthur Ward, John O'Loughlin, Ron Johnson and Michael Barber oppose Eddie Jarratt, John Malone, Roy Cleveland and Richard Smith.

Mike's team began well ahead at end 11 then lost it until drawing level again at 15-all at end 15.
From there on Richard's team played the better bowls and I venture to say, with just two more ends remaining, Richard played a perfectly weighted draw shot that cut out opposition bowls and their chances of catching up.
The final score was 21-17 in favour of Richard's team so we say congratulations to the winners.

A major singles game was also being played with 37 ends needed for Adam Hutchinson to be able to find the two required for victory when the scores were 29-all against Scott Wilkinson.

Another interesting couple of social games took place on Friday afternoon. Both games saw a big score for one team each time.
When the cards were scanned both games finished with a 21-shot margin.
The countback gave the win for the day to Roy Cleveland and Roger Williams who won with 14 ends against Dennis O'Brien and Geoff Hagan.
The second game also with 21 shots was won with only 13 ends played with Arthur Ward, Peter Rassmussen and Kevin Breasley against Eddie Jarratt, Neville Stubbs and Rodney Crowe.
