The Cootamundra Soup Kitchen opened its doors to around 40 diners on Wednesday night, not skipping a beat despite having been robbed of most of its food reserves a week ago.

Kate Lonergan, who has helped in the kitchen since it started ten years ago, said there was plenty of food.
Dinner was helped along with a donation of 60 pies from South West Fuel, complemented with the usual fresh vegetables picked up by her husband Don from Woolworths through the week.
"There's been a truly amazing response after the robbery was publicised," Mrs Lonergan said.
"Out of something bad that happened there've been a lot of positives.
"A lot of people brought food and left it at the Ex-Services Club - I went down on Monday and picked up three bags - and they also had a raffle on Friday night that raised $445."
Mrs Lonergan said Sam Jennings had organised a barbecue and cake stalls to raise funds outside Woollies tomorrow, and there were other cash donations from the Fire Brigade, the Men's Shed and Harvey World Travel, as well as the manager of Westpac Bank donating $250 worth of meat from Wattle Butchery.
"We've also had people ring up and say 'we've got food we'd like to donate, can you come and pick it up?'
"We even had someone in Queensland who wanted our BSB so she could put some money in our account."
On Wednesday Doug Lonergan picked up four shopping trolley loads of food items donated by shoppers, and the shelves are full again.
Mrs Lonergan said the response from police had been very good as well.
"After I rang and said we'd had a break-in they were down there in an hour - you've got to give credit where credit's due."
