The club hosted a very successful Towning Shield last Tuesday and Wednesday. Well done to all involved. Next year the Southern Slopes District will host the event.

The first match of the club singles has been played, with Ellenor Armstrong too strong on the day for Jan Roberts.
With the score 15 all at end 15, it was a great game.
Social play on Thursday was a game of triples with Jan Slavin as swinging lead. With the score 15 all at end 15, it was a great game. However, Jenny Blundell, Viv Christie and Jan Slavin eventually had a 1-point win against Marsha Phillips, Jan Roberts (and Jan Slavin).
The club had three teams contest the South Western District Triples Championships at Harden last Saturday and Sunday. Jan Slavin, Neta Manwaring and Betty Cleveland were eliminated by a Young team on Saturday, as were Pat Francis, Diana Buchanan and Ellenor Armstrong, defeated by our third team of Jan Roberts, Karen McMinn and Marsha Phillips.
Congratulations to Jan, Karen and Marsha who were beaten in the finals on Sunday by Margot Parker, Jeanette Holt and Elsie Hines from Young.
A great effort ladies.
Social play will begin at 9.30am for a 10am start.
Tomorrow, being the third Thursday of the month, Crazy Whist will be held at 2.30pm.
