"A lot of our regulars are here and what's really encouraging is we have 15 new people in Coota for the first time.
"The weather's great, and the golf course is in great condition with the rain last week and the week before bringing it up to standard along with our volunteer workers and ground staff.
The event is having a significant economic benefit for Cootamundra, with a lot of people staying in caravan parks and motels.
The event finishes with a dinner Friday night with 110 guests for presentation of trophies.
