The recreation ground at Stockinbingal has been transformed with a new $75,000 pump track for BMX and mountain bikes, scooters and skateboards.

The project is the brainchild of young Stockinbingal resident Adam Mayor, who wrote to the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council asking it to consider building a skate park complex.
The council agreed, using funding it has received from the State government's Stronger Country Communities Fund.
The track is a continuous loop of round bumps and banked turns designed to be ridden completely by riders "pumping" - creating a momentum by up and down body movements.
Many other townships are building them, due to a resurgence in the popularity of BMX bikes, and to skateboarders using them to refine tricks.
Adam said it was great that the council had responded to his proposal, and he was excited to see it finished.
"It's another way to get kids outside and doing things, it's suitable for all ages, and a great place to meet up and have fun outside," he said.
CGRC mayor Cr Abb McAlister said the new facility at Stockinbingal will encourage physical activity and social interaction and provide a healthy alternative to screen time.
"I'm really pleased we have been able to deliver another project that will see our kids enjoying the great outdoors, and participating in activities they enjoy," Cr McAlister said.
