Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council has dismissed its suspended general manager, Allen Dwyer.

Mr Dwyer, appointed general manager in June 2017, has been suspended since November 15 last year.
His suspension followed an ABC radio report last year related to his use of a corporate credit card in his previous employment with hay Shire Council.
On March 25 this year the council issued Mr Dwyer with a notice to explain why he should not lose his job.
It said investigations had allegedly uncovered a series of breaches under the Local Government Act.
His dismissal takes effect today, April 18.
Council made its decision at an extraordinary general meeting last night, after receiving a report in person from Adrian Barwick of Williamson Barwick Lawyers.
For the past five months, Mr Dwyer has been suspended on full pay of $249,864 plus car, and has also allegedly been renting a council house.
The council this week declined to reveal how much rent Mr Dwyer had been paying, stating it was "not appropriate to comment on individual employment arrangements including rental arrangements".
The Herald has been unable to contact Mr Dwyer.
In November, he told the ABC that Hay Council had permitted him to use a credit card for personal expenditure.
Sometimes his repayments were "a bit behind" but "whenever it was brought to my notice, I always paid in full".
The council will now invite three recruitment companies to submit proposals for the recruitment of a general manager.
Phil McMurray, who has been acting general manager since Mr Dwyer was suspended in November, will continue in this role.
