Young are the newcomer to the Central West South West Oilsplus competition. An early try to the Yabbies on the counter caught the Coota men off guard, with Coota down 7-0 after five minutes.
The Tri Colours then asserted themselves into game; dominating possession with some direct forward play and applying persistent pressure inside Young's half.
A intercept try to Matt Berkrey opened the Tri Colours account.
Following some structured and patient rugby they took a 19-7 lead into half time.
Challenged by the coaching staff to "earn the right to go wide" the Coota men started the second half with real intent.
The Coota forwards laid a strong platform giving their backs plenty of room to score a number of slick tries.
To Young's credit they did not go away. A number of the Yabbies forwards left a dent both in attack and defence.
However the Coota men's persistence took its toll on the Yabbies and Coota took the ascendancy throughout the half.
The Tri Colours were lead around the park well by Aaron Byrne. Fullback Paddy Cameron was a constant threat in both open play and on the counter, scoring three tries and having a hand in several others.
There wasn't a bad player in the pack but Daryll Hemopo and Gus Forster were strong.
The hooker and prop pressured the Yabbies scrum all match and Daryll made numerous tough carries through the middle third of the field.
They were supported By Luke Eberley and Issac Mitchell who's work-rate did not go unnoticed.
The most pleasing aspect of the Tri Colours was the way in which they built pressure in possession. Their pack laid the groundwork providing the backs with plenty of clean ball on the front foot which subsequently earned them a 64-19 victory.
