MEN: Cootamundra Ex-Services grade 6 pennant team are off to state playoffs. First up on Sunday morning Coota outplayed Narrandera, scoring 78-34 and winning three rinks. Their opponents in the final were old foes Coolamon and a great tussle was to follow. Coota got off to good start leading by 20 at one stage but as they always do Coolamon fought back to be within six shots of the lead. Coota put their heads down and went on to claim the Zone 8 title winning three rinks with a score of 60-49. Good luck in the finals at Warilla from July 26 to July 28.

Club Championships: Major Singles saw Jim White and Peter Hoang play for a position in the semi-finals. The score was 12-all on end 15, Jim got the upper hand and pulled away and was never headed to go on and win 31-20.
Social bowls: Wednesday consisted of two games of triples and a game of pairs. Neil Blackett, Tony Curtis & Don (Duck) O'Neil comfortable 23-13 winners against Henry Wilson, Alan Small & Pat O'Brien, while the other triples game Roger Goode, Graeme Snape & Craig Jordan defeated Bob Winter, Keith Hampton & Geoff Hillier 23-13. In the pair's game, Mick Andrews & John Goggin defeated J. Withers & Rod (Pickles) Bradley 20-10.
Friday and 16 bowlers took to the green making the days play two triples games and a pairs game. The pairs game was a very tight encounter between Neil Blackett & Graeme Snape, with their opponents being Tony Curtis & Geoff (Bloopy) Manwaring with Neil & Graeme defeating Tony & Bloopy 23-22. Brothers Rob & Geoff Hiller along with Paul Cockram defeated Oscar Lopez, Bill Cosgrove & Graeme Dennis, while in the remaining triples game Mick Andrews, Keith Hampton & Jim White were far too good for Steve Leggett, Alan Small & Don (Duck) O'Neil.
WOMEN: Wednesday social bowls had seven ladies attend resulting two games of pairs with a double lead in one game with Bev Black filling the double lead position with Lynn Fisher the winning skip against Lee Bristow, while Margaret Cosgrove & Robyn Snape defeating Rhonda Nolan & Freda Hambrook 20-13.
