Monday Night
The club played a three table Howell movement. Taking out first place was Frank Davidson and Kathy Rolfe on 64.58% and the best score for this week. In second place were Heather Last and Julie Jenkins on 54.00% followed by Lee Furness and Bob Laing with 53.00% and fourth were Barb Beveridge and Joan Adams on 51.00%. In fifth place were Joyce Meale and Jenny McAinsh and the final placing went to Joyce Cavanagh and Jean Shea.

Tuesday Session
Members played a ten and a half table Mitchell movement. The N/S winners were Barb Beveridge and Heather Last on 62.73, with Kerry Byrne and Jennifer Kozman second on 55.79 and third were Barbie Hufton and our new club member Jo Miller, with 53.24. Judy Emery and Robbie Bassingthwaighte came in fourth with 52.31 and fifth was Mary Norton-Knight and Jilly Pockley with 50.69.
In the East/West field, Jenny McAinsh and Frank Davidson took first place with 61.11, with Jude Hillam and Gail Flanery second on 56.51. Third place went to Joan Adams and Kate Graham on 53.13, and fourth were Cathy Tolmie and Jan Gavin on 52.34, with Jane Storey and Judith Harris just behind on 52.08.
The other winner of the Aust-Wide Novice Pairs, Cathie Bragg was presented with her certificate. Our bridge club had an outstanding result in this event with six pairs achieving positions in the top 100.
