Social bowls
On Wednesday, June 12, Paul Cockram, Keith Hampton and Craig Jordan finished strongly to defeat Jeff Withers, John Huntington, and Terry McDonald, while Rocky Ford and Duck O'Neil had too many guns for their opponents Kye Fisher and Jason Jones, winning 18-11.
Neil Blackett and Graeme Snape scraped home defeating Tony Curtis and Geoff (Bloopy) Manwaring, 23-22.
Sunday, June 16 saw two games of pairs and a triples game contested.
Jeff Withers, Denis (Ginger) O'Brien and Mick Willis defeated Roger Goode, Rocky Ford and Jeff Cook 25-20.
Keith Hampton and Frog Roberts had a win, 18-13, against Rob Hillier and Jim White.
Meanwhile, Paul Cockram and Jim Deacon had a comfortable win over Geoff (Bloopy) Manwaring and Bob New.

Country Club Women's Bowls
On Saturday, June 15, Ellenor Armstrong and Pat Francis were part of a composite second team for the Ex-Services Club and enjoyed their day playing in the Kelly Rose Bowl tournament at Grenfell.
Last Sunday, another match of the club pairs championships was played.
Betty Cleveland and Viv Christie played against Pat Francis and Karen McMinn and were locked at 15-all on the second last end.
The final end saw Betty and Viv win by a single shot.
It was a great game.
Due to overnight rain, last Thursday' s Queen of the Green was cancelled.
It will now be played tomorrow, Thursday, June 20, followed by the popular Crazy Whist at 2.30pm.
