Flack spoke about the importance of the arts in telling stories and connecting people from different backgrounds. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal featuring local produce and wine from sponsors Coe & Co Wines.
Event organiser Leigh Bowden, caterer Isabel Scott and the many volunteers who worked together to create a spectacular night are to be congratulated.
Over the coming weeks, TACC has some fantastic events lined up including a professional development workshop for educators and people interested in practical strategies for inclusive learning in the classroom.
Facilitated by Dr Matt Capp, this full-day workshop will introduce attendees to universal design for learning, a framework for breaking down barriers to the Australian curriculum.
Secure your spot through the TACC website by July 15.
This school holidays, TACC will be showing a family friendly movie called Patrick about a very spoilt pug.
The centre will also be hosting the Oddball Theatre, which will run a fun workshop focusing on puppetry, masks and movement. See the website for details.
This week's movie, On the Basis of Sex, tells the true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a young lawyer whose fight for equal rights and the ground-breaking case to overturn a century of gender discrimination leads to her appointment as Supreme Court Justice.
The movie will be shown on Wednesday, June 19 at 10.30am and 7pm, then again on Sunday, June 23 at 5pm.
Finally, the TACC annual general meeting will be held at 6pm on Thursday, July 18 at the TACC office, 18-20 Wallendoon Street. Come and learn more about your community arts hub and see what the future holds.
