Coupled with the fact that the Cootamundra's last match was at Yass on July 7, the Blues will in effect play the last five matches of the home and away season on the road.
The Blues are expecting some tough opposition from the newly formed Murrumbateman Eagles this Saturday afternoon.
While Cootamundra easily beat the Eagles a little more than a month ago at Clarke, the newest club in AFL Canberra recorded its second victory of the season last Saturday, when the Eagles defeated Goulburn for the second time this year.
The winning margin by the Eagles was a surprising 53 points.
Murrumbateman's big win lifted it off the bottom the ladder at the expense of the Yass Roos.
Should the Eagles win three of the last four matches, they could sneak into the four at the expense of Goulburn.
In the other two AFL Canberra matches to be played this Saturday afternoon, Belconnen travels to Snowy Oval to play the Southern Cats, while Goulburn will play host Yass.

WOMEN
The Blues' women's side will be eyeing off their third victory of the season when they take on Tuggeranong at Murrumbateman on Saturday.
Both matches against Tuggeranong this season have been nailbiters.
In their most recent clash in Canberra, the Blues went down by four points.
When these two sides met in early May, the Blues won by nine points.
Last Saturday, Tuggeranong forfeited to the Riverina Lions.
The Blues women, meanwhile, played relatively well despite going down.
After being outscored by Belconnen in the first two quarters, the Blues finished the game stronger.
They outscored their opponents in the final two quarters.
A win by the Blues will see them move off the bottom of the ladder.
This week's matches at Murrumbateman will start at noon for the women, while the men's first bounce is at 2pm.
