Loo Manning and Annie MacMaster took out first in the novice section, with Jean Shea and Joyce Cavanagh second in the same division.
In the Tuesday session, a ten and a half table Mitchell movement was played.
The N/S winners were Mary Norton-Knight and Loo Manning, scoring 61.57 per cent, ahead of Jean Shea and Caroline Hermes, 59.95 per cent. In third place were Nikki Gordon and Fran Meagher on 54.63 per cent and fourth went to Barbie Hufton and Sue Lenehan, 53.94 per cent. In fifth place were Robbie Bassingthwaighte and Judy Emery (52.55 per cent).
In the East/West field, first went to Joan Adams and Kate Graham on 65.74 per cent, followed by Kerry Byrne and Jennifer Kozman on 62.76 per cent and Michele Baldry and Merry Kirkwood, 53.39 per cent.
They finished just ahead of Frank Davidson and Jennifer McAinsh on 53.24 per cent. Fifth went to Julie Moon and Rhonda Twomey with a score of 50.00 per cent.
