On Sunday, August 18, 2019 Cootamundra Swimming Lifesaving Club travelled over to the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra participating in the Final Winter, ACT Development Swim Series.

The Winter Development meet series are run in the AIS 25m pool and are a great opportunity for all swimmers to develop their skills and compete up against other swimmers from ACT and Country areas.
The swimmers are broken into Development and Intermediate heats pending on their swimming times for the stroke they swim on the day.
The Cootamundra Swim Club had eight swimmers make the journey over to Canberra being Toby Lawson, Grace Derrick, Ellie, Sarah and Zoe Lake, Ella Gammon, Xavier and Emerson Jones under the guidance of coaches Adam Gammon and Charmaigne Derrick.
The Cootamundra swim team had an outstanding day in the pool overall, with all swimmers, swimming exceptionally well and achieving personal best times in various events.
Toby Lawson, 12 years of age achieved three gold medals for 50m freestyle Intermediate, 50m Butterfly and Backstroke, two silver medals for 50m Breast and 100m Freestyle.
Grace Derrick 10 years of age achieved three silver and in 50m backstroke, 100m Backstroke Development, 50m Breaststroke Intermediate and one Bronze Medal in 100m Breaststroke in the Development series for 10 years and under.
Ellie Lake 10 years of age obtained a silver medal in under 10's Development series for 50m Breaststroke and obtained her personal best time for 50m Freestyle.
Sarah Lake 7 years of age obtained two silver medals in 50m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly in the 8 years and under.
Ella Gammon 7 years of age achieved a Bronze Medal in 50m Butterfly in the 8 years and under.
Xavier Jones 10 years achieved a personal best time in 50m freestyle taking off five seconds and Emerson Jones 7 years of age achieved personal best times by taking off six seconds in 25m breaststroke, and four seconds off her 25m Freestyle.
Zoe Lake 6 years old swam in two events being the 25m freestyle and backstroke, where there was some friendly fire in the pool we she had great pleasure on getting the upper hand and beating her older sister in 8 years and under 25m backstroke.
