Terry Smith was far too good for Roger Goode defeating him comfortably. Terry now plays Craig Jordan.
Men's social bowls
On Wednesday, Terry Cosgrove, Graeme Snape and Geoff Hillier defeated Jeff Withers, Ned Kelly and Brad Lange quite comfortably. John Huntington, Tony Curtis and Peter Hoang had a 25-16 win against Harry Harris, Don O'Neill and Paul Cockram, while Oscar Lopez, Mark Devere and Mick Barber had to fight all the way, finally defeating Roger Goode, Rocky Ford and Rod Bradley, 19-15.
On Friday, Mick Andrews, Craig Jordan and Geoff Hillier combined to defeat Steve Leggett, Peter Hoang and Rod Bradley, 18-15. Oscar Lopez, Keith Hampton and Don O'Neill defeated Ashley Cooper, Paul Cockram and Jason Jones, 26-18, while Bruce Gillies, John Huntington and Jim White had a good 20-11 win over Rocky Ford, Ned Kelly and Pat O'Brien.
Sunday socials format was seven ends then change position, so all had a go at all spots.
Neil Blackett, Paul Cockram and Jim White had to play some great bowls to defeat a tough opposition consisting of Bruce Gillies, Adam New and Bob New 25-23, while Ginger O'Brien, the outlaw Ned Kelly and Don O'Neill had a good 19-11 win over Jeff Withers, Geoff Manwaring and Pickles Bradley. Steve Stanton, Craig Jordan and Geoff Hillier combined to record a close 22-17 win over Keith Hampton, Wally Chater and Mick Willis.

Country Club Women
Jan Roberts, Betty Cleveland and Jenny Blundell travelled to Young on August 27 to participate in their President's Day. Our players enjoyed their bowls although beaten by the eventual winners, a composite Young/Grenfell team.
The second match of the round-robin Club Triples Championships was played last Thursday. Diana Buchanan, Viv Christie and Jenny Blundell came from behind to defeat Betty Cleveland, Neta Manwaring and Marsha Phillips.
Last week's social play was a pairs game, with Pat Francis and Lesley Manwaring winning by a single point over Jan Slavin and Mona Perry.
As our President's Day is to be held on September 12, tomorrow's social play will now be Queen of the Green and then our monthly meeting.
