CGRC mayor, Councillor Abb McAlister, welcomed Pooja Singla and Humaira Tabassum to the region, presenting both with certificates. Mrs Tabassum is a registered nurse currently employed at the Cootamundra Nursing Home.
Originally from Bangladesh Mrs Tabassum and her husband moved from Sydney and have made Cootamundra their home along with their five year old daughter.
Pooja Singla came to Australia in 2010 from India.
Ms Singla is a dentist, with a practice in Cooper Street Cootamundra.
Married with a five year old daughter, Ms Singla and her husband made Cootamundra their home in 2016.
