Yarded were 2547 sheep and lambs, an increase of approximately 150 on the previous sale.
"There was some very good quality medium and heavy weight trade new season lambs yarded," saleyards manager Jeff White said.
"Old season lambs were of good quality, with good weight evident."
The market consisted of 913 old lambs, 930 new season lambs, 404 ewes, 39 rams, 100 wethers and 160 hoggets.
"Once again there was a good turnout of buyers on the rail they operated in a market that was firm to slightly cheaper for new season lambs with a similar result on the older lambs," Mr White said.
"There was some re stocker activity, paying up to $142.00 for light weight suckers.
"Top price for the day for old lambs was supplied by regular vendor Ron Ward, "Jindalee" with an excellent pen of lambs that made $235.
"With an estimated CW of 32 KG CW and wearing a $5 coat, they came back at $7.25 /kg clean weight, and went to ALC.
"Top price for new season lambs went to Matt and Lynda Holt of Stockinbingal with a very good quality pen of trade weight suckers that made $193.60.
"With an estimated CW of 24 KG and wearing a small $4 coat they came back at $8/kg clean weight."
Mr White said most new season lambs were in the $8 to $8.40/kg clean weight.
"The mutton market, took the hit that other regional selling centres has endured over the last fortnight, to be $30 to $40 off the pace of the previous sale.
"Heavy ewes topped out at $153 to be in the $5 to $5.20 per kilo clean weight.
"Merinos wethers, made up to $140 and top hoggets made to $175," Mr White said.
