Terry bounded out of the blocks like a startled gazelle to hold a very handy ten shot lead after ten ends, Mark tried hard but he never recovered from his sluggish start.
Terry Smith went on to win comfortably and now plays the in-form Jason Jones in the final.

Wednesday, October 9, saw two pairs games and a triples game played. In the triples game, Mick Andrews, Rocky Ford and Geoff Hillier defeated Bill Cosgrove, Don (Duck) O'Neill and Pat O'Brien 22-19, while Mark Devere and Keith Hampton defeated Oscar Lopez and Grumpy Fisher 23-18 and Ginger O'Brien and Peter Hoang defeated Ned Kelly and Jim White 24-11.
Friday, October 11: Bob New, Kye Fisher, and Pickles Bradley were defeated by Graeme Dennis, Ned Kelly, and Jim White 22-16. Oscar Lopez, John Huntington, and Peter Hoang narrowly defeated Roger Goode, Rocky Ford, and Pat O'Brien 25-22, while Keith Hampton, Paul Cockram, and Frog Roberts combined to defeat Ginger O'Brien, Mick Andrews, and Geoff Hillier, 20-13.
Sunday, October 13: D. Hollis, Craig Jordan, and Pickles Bradley were far too good for Ashley Cooper, John Huntington, and Mick Willis.
Ladies social, Wednesday, October 9: Lauren Bush introduced her grandson William to lawn bowls. William performed admirably along with Nanna but was outgunned by Monica Kelly and Lynn Fisher, while Joan Cummins, Sara Lopez, and Marilyn Allen defeated Freda Hambrook, Wendy Deacon and Margaret Cosgrove, 13-7.

COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN'S BOWLS
There were only eight players available for Queen of the Green singles play on October 10.
Ellenor Armstrong won a close game against Mona Perry, as did Jan Roberts against Viv Christie. Lesley Manwaring is improving all the time and had a great game despite losing to Jenny Blundell. Betty Cleveland had a win over Jan Slavin.
The winner this month is Betty Cleveland who scored equal points with Jenny Blundell, and won on a count back.
Crazy Whist, which was to be held on October 18, has been postponed to October 24 for this month only.
