MAJOR SINGLES
John Goggin went one better than 2018 to win this year's Major Singles title.
Goggin and Don "Duck" O'Neill did battle in a close encounter, with the score level on seven occasions including 23-all.
Goggin finished stronger to win 31-25.
MINOR SINGLES
Mark Devere and Terry Smith took to the green for the remaining semi-final game of the Minor Singles.
Smith bounded out of the blocks like a startled gazelle to hold a handy 10-shot lead after 10 ends. Devere tried hard but never recovered from a sluggish start.
MINOR PAIRS
Geoff "Bloopy" Manwaring and club president Tony Curtis played Jason Jones and Pat O'Brien in the remaining semi-final. This was one of the best games seen for a while on our green with the lead changing on several occasions. On the 21st and final end the score was locked at 18-all and an extra end was needed to proclaim a winner.
Curtis' team recorded a one-shot win to claim a spot in the final against Neil Blackett and Terry Smith.
LADIES TRIPLES
Sara Lopez, Lauren Bush, and Joan Cummins combined to win the club's triples title.
Their opponents in the final were Lynn Fisher, Carolyn Buchanan, and Lorraine Evelyn.
The early stages were dominated by Lopez, Bush and Cummins, who led 10-0 at the conclusion of eight ends.
But Fisher, Buchanan and Evelyn mounted a challenge and cut the deficit to three shots with four ends remaining. However, the front-running side held their lead to win the triples title 17-11.
