Among the Cootamundra projects included in the update were the Water Main Replacement Project which is progressing well with 19.5 kilometres of new water main installed.
Contractors for the project Killard Excavations predict the project will be complete by January 2020. Councillors were shown pictures of the installation of a new water outlet pipe and value installed at the reservoir behind Carool Road.
Work continues on a new building for Cootamundra Australian Rules Football Club, the new multi-purpose hall can be utilised by many sectors of the community. The new facilities will incorporate Club Rooms, Kitchen, Interior Public Toilets and Change Room Facilities and be a modern hall which can be utilised by all sporting groups or community members.
A waterpark playground is currently being constructed at Cootamundra's Swimming Pool, with work expected to be completed in January. This new addition to the Cootamundra pool will be a welcome addition for all pool users and help attract additional tourists/visitors to town.
Cootamundra has a new tourism website. The website menu includes a comprehensive list of accommodation sites, things to do and see, eating out, and what's on guides. Quality photos and easily navigated the new website will give visitors plenty of information about Cootamundra and surrounds. The new website address is www.visit cootmaundra.com.au.
Work has commenced on the playgrounds in Jubilee Park in Cootamundra, with ground works being undertaken. Gundagai's Carberry Park's Adventure Playground plans have been finalised with earth works commencing in the next week.
The footpath renewal project in Cootamundra is progressing well.
Many of these projects have been made possible with grants from the NSW State Government, Stronger Communities Fund and Stronger Country Communities Fund.
Mayor Cr Abb McAlister said, "We've seen plans, we've had community consultation and we've made great headway in allocating resources to get these projects underway, I'm pleased we are seeing progress on so many different projects."

- Drainage rehabilitation in Thompson Street laneway Cootamundra.
- Cootamundra Streetscape Beautification.
- Cootamundra Community Garden Project.
- Cemetery Improvement Projects.
