Cootamundra Cockatoos sit in second position on the competition ladder with two wins and two losses after failing to run down Temora Thunder who now sit in the outright competition lead.
In the other match involving Cootamundra, the Kookaburras found Temora Scorchers too strong, the former holding on to fourth position in the competition despite the loss.
In both matches the Cootamundra boys found themselves on the wrong end of the toss and were forced to chase targets.
Temora Thunder set Cockatoos a target of 121 for victory in their match with their innings set up by opener Charlie Bent (26) and first drop batsman Josh Gillard (21).
Thunder finished their innings at 121 after 23.4 overs.
Jed Guthrie lead the bowling attack for Cockatoos taking three wickets for just three runs off three overs.
F Drumore chipped in with two wickets and Sam Nassar, Lachlan Webb and Ethan Shepherd finished with a wicket apiece.
Ethan Shepherd (11) and Koby Godbier were the only Cockatoo batsmen to reach double figures in a run chase that ended at 7/54.
Kookaburras put up a better effort in their attempt to chase down the 135 run target set by Scorchers, losing just four wickets but still coming up well short at 4/108 at the end of 25 overs.
Darien O'Toole lead the run case at the top of the order with 33 runs.
Next best with bat in hand was Sam Sharman who finished 19 not out.
Harry Holt (8), Tyler Vivian (7), Dylan Vivian (6), William Holt (7) and Nick Louttit (1) all contributed but couldn't match the scoring rate set by Scorchers who were aided by two half centuries from their batsmen.
James Goode (50 not out) and Joseph Morton (51 not out) dominated the batting for Scorchers. No other Temora batsmen reached double figures. William Holt (2) and Tyler and Dylan Vivian were the wicket takers.
