Carol has been the lifestyle coordinator at the village for 27 years and accolades were flowing by those who spoke of how diligently she has looked after the welfare and enjoyment of the many residents.
The Campbell family were also in attendance to delight in the many who made mention of the first-class job Carol did in seeing that all in residence were happy, not to mention the many outings they were fortunate to go on.
Clarrie Power was also there to receive thanks for the years he volunteered driving the bus on the day outings (and of course delivering some of his many jokes over the microphone, bringing laughter to those on the bus).
DO ENJOY your well-earned retirement Carol.

Opening hours Saturday/Sunday are 10am to 4pm, with lunch and refreshments available at the hall.
A WORTHY CAUSE
Again the Chris Edwards School of Dance is gathering discarded handbags for the very worthy cause 'Share the Dignity' which they have done for a number of years.
Ladies, do you have a handbag you no longer use? Do place in the bag toiletries of your choice, bring it along to the rooms of the Chris Edwards School of Dance, place it in the box provided there at the old Masonic Hall, where it will be forwarded onto the Share the Dignity group who care for women's health, energy and immunity.
CHRISTMAS FAIR
Come one, come all to the Ellwood Hall, Stockinbingal, on Saturday, November 16 to find that perfect Christmas gift. Any time after 9am to browse recycled art, check out the many stalls and even enjoy a carriage ride with the Clydesdale horses.
Oh, and be sure to have the children there before noon to give Santa their Christmas list.
SNAKE GULLY CUP
Friday, November 15 (today) all roads lead to Gundagai and the running of the annual Snake Gully Cup. Always THE BEST day out with thousands in attendance including two buses leaving Coota full of happy patrons ready to enjoy the day.
CHRISTMAS PARTY
Did you know that our annual Cootamundra Christmas Party is being held in early December? Usually takes place just before Christmas but business houses opted for Thursday, December 5, so locals can get down the street and do their Christmas shopping EARLY. Hosted by the Cootamundra Development Corporation, it will incorporate late night shopping, 5pm - 9pm, non-stop entertainment, barbecue, market stalls, Shop Local Prize draw and a special visit from Santa.
MINISTRY CENTRE
The CC'S Ministry Centre, located behind the Anglican Church, has been refurbished and now represents community, caring, a place for a chat and a beautiful café style space to meet.
Open from 10am Thursdays and Fridays each week, CC's offers a light meal, yummy cake or scones with tea or espresso coffee. The menu varies from week to week with great cooks going through their recipe books to give us a delicious home-cooked style lunch.
They also sell new or pre-loved Christian books.
On Wednesday, November 27, a Seniors Christmas Get Together will take place in CC's Ministry Centre commencing at 2pm. All are invited to come along and bring a friend.
A reminder that the annual Prayer Rally in Jubilee Park will take place on Sunday, November 24, commencing at 5pm.
Be sure to come along, bring your chair to sit under the trees in Jubilee Park and participate in song and prayer, or just listen and ENJOY.
