First was Annie MacMaster and Loo Manning with 63 per cent, followed by Joan Adams and Sally Lawler on 60 per cent. In third was Frank Davidson and Kathy Rolfe with 54 per cent. Then followed pairs Val Robinson and Jenny McAinsh, Ruth McCarthy and Joyce Cavanagh, and Lee Furness and Bob Laing.
The committee for 2019-20 has been elected. The new president is Annie MacMaster, vice-president Sally Lawler, secretary Judith Harris and treasurer Ruth McCarthy. Co-ordinators are Jenny McAinsh and Jane Storey.
Monday night players will celebrate Christmas at 6pm on December 9. Contact Jenny if you would like to attend and play. New fees for 2020 are $27, due February 2020. There's no bridge next Monday night.
Julie Jenkins was wished a happy 80th birthday before play on Tuesday and was presented with a card from members.
A 10.5 Mitchell Skip movement followed. Winners in the North/South field were Joan Adams and Kate Graham on 70.83, with Ondy Crawford and Liz McFarlane second on 55.56. In third was Mary Norton-Knight and Loo Manning on 55.09. Jenny McAinsh and Frank Davidson were fourth, scoring 53.47, while fifth went to Di Scott and Colleen Honner with 53.24. East/West winners were Mary Last and Sally Lawler on 65.63, followed by Barb Beveridge and Annie MacMaster on 63.43 and Wendy Jenkins and Belinda Scott with 50.52. Fourth went to Julie Moon and Rhonda Twomey; fifth was Helen Martin and Annie Wald.
