Tohovaka joins the club after playing his Rugby League in New Zealand.
In the past two seasons has represented Canterbury Bulls in the National competition in New Zealand and during the 2019 season was also selected in the New Zealand Maori Residents side.
All returning senior players along with any new faces contemplating a season with the Bulldogs in 2020 are invited to Les Boyd Oval this Friday (29th November) at 6pm for a quick get together, and chat about the up coming season and all that comes with it.

In other Group 9 news Southcity has swooped on Dana Ratu from crosstown rival Kangaroos.
After two years in Wagga, the 30-year-old has elected for a change of scenery.
He feels the Bulls will be a good fit.
"A few things weren't sitting right so I thought I'd move on," Ratu said.
"They didn't stroke my ego or anything like that but said if I wanted to come across then they would have me.
"They thought I would be a benefit and that it would help me as a player as well.
"That is what I'm all about, trying to better myself as a player and if I can help out I will."
The chance to link with new Southcity captain-coach Nathan Rose was another incentive for the move.
He was impressed with the playmaker's vision for the club.
"They are a pretty good club and thought I would try to get on the back of that and move forward," Ratu said.
"I want to have a decent crack."
The New Zealander has been a leader of the Kangaroos pack, often playing well above his weight, however he's expected to fulfill a different role with Southcity.
Southcity football manager Matt Ward believes he will be a good addition to the side.
"He's a good replacement for a few middle forwards we've lost (over the past few years)," Ward said.
"I think he will suit our style of play pretty well.
"He's not a massive human but he has good leg speed and knows his footy pretty well."
Ratu will also coach Southcity's Weissel Cup side.
Ward believes he will fit in well with the club.
"It is always our port of call - we make sure they are going to be good humans first and he seems like a good fella," he said.
"We think he will fit in well."
The Bulls fell one win short of a third straight Group Nine title when they were beaten 28-4 by Tumut.
