The match is scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 12 at Albert Park
It will be a similar format to the Tooheys Cup and Country Challenges matches held in Cootamundra in the 1980s, and more recently in 2009.
The games are called "Baggy Blues" matches, with three others to be held in January at Inverell and Tamworth and Kempsey in February.
Last Friday, organiser Phil Marks made a flying visit to Cootamundra to meet with officials.
Marks, a former first-class cricketer with NSW, is the current head coach of the Manly Warringah Cricket Club.
Cootamundra will provide 16 players (eight per side) and NSW will provide three Baggy Blues per side.
Apart from a T20 match to be held on the Thursday afternoon, a number of events are planned over the two days.
WEDNESDAY
Early afternoon arrival
Mid-afternoon - Baggy Blues players and ambassadors attend RAMHP induction with co-ordinator, venue TBA
Evening - Association dinner. All funds raised for local cricket. Baggy Blues players and ambassadors will attend and entertain. Baggy Blues will donate items for auction or raffle. Interviews or standalone speeches at the Cootamundra Ex-Services Club.
THURSDAY
Morning - RAMHP Mental Health breakfast. Free for all to attend funded by Baggy Blues. Players from both teams expected to attend along with all Baggy Blues. RAMHP co-ordinator Faith Rogers will display RAMHP via slideshow presentation. The breakfast will be held at the Ex-Services Club.
Afternoon - cricket coaching clinic. Clinic conducted by Warren Smith and Baggy Blues, open to kids of all ages. Two kits to be given away to best girl and boy.
Late afternoon - T20 game into evening. Three Baggy Blues players in each side. Baggy Blues will provide pads and helmets for players to use. Playing shirts and caps will be given to players to play in and keep.
This match will be a great boost for Cootamundra cricket, especially as over the past two seasons there have been only two representative matches at Albert Park.
It follows on from Cootamundra hosting the South West Slopes Cricket League finals on March 7.
