Despite a spirited tussle in two games of 12 ends, the final result had the Ex-Services coming home with a nine-shot margin. Oscar Lopes, Steve Stanton and Mike Marber were the best performed team for the Ex-Services Club. Kevin Medcalf, John Malone and Ron Rosengreen took the honours for the Country Club.
Four games of pairs were the order of the day on Tuesday morning, and a number of visitors were welcomed for the game.
W Rush and B Gibson earned 15 points for their win over N Stubbs and R Johnson, while C Peters and G Davidson managed 16.5 points by defeating A Ward and J Jones.
C Miller and J Cooper came home with 17 points from their win over G Bottrall and P Hoang. A half point extra, with 17.5 points, were K Medcalf and C Willis as a result of their win over F Kerr and C Jordan. This gave them the right to take home the day's prizes.
