After six years of high school and one very busy HSC year, students who worked consistently and maintained a study pattern, achieved the results they deserved.
Across the school a number of students achieved in the top bands, Bands 5 and 6, in a range of subjects.
A Band 6 was recorded in Advanced English, and an E4 (equivalent of a Band 6) in Extension 1 English.
There were four Band 5s in Music, two in Investigating Science, and one each in Mathematics 2 Unit, Advanced English, Digital Information Technology, PDHPE, Biology, Hospitality and a Band E3 (equivalent of Band 5) in Extension 2 English.
Deserving of special mention is 2019 School Captain Brianna Hefren, who achieved an outstanding set of results, with Band 6 in Advanced English and Society and Culture, Band E4 in Extension 1 English, Band 5 in Music and Band E3 in Extension 2 English.
Brianna has also recorded the highest mark in Advanced English since 2001, which is an indication of her consistent dedication to her studies as well as her ability to work with sophisticated texts and concepts.
The school is very proud of her fantastic results.
As a result of her commitment to her studies, Brianna has achieved an ATAR of 93.5, a well-deserved result that will place her very well for university entry.
The Principal Mrs Leesa Daly expressed her congratulations to all year 12 students on behalf of the staff.
"Well done to our high flyers! We are all proud of you.
"But also congratulations to our many students who achieved personal best results in the HSC."
The 30 students in the class of 2019, five more than 2018, celebrated their graduation on Wednesday November 13 with a stylish graduation dinner at the Ex-Servicemen's Club.
