Outstanding chaser Milky Jones has run his last race.
The winner of more than $117,000 in prize money broke down while contesting a masters event at Bulli on Saturday night.
Prepared at Harden by Graham Thurkettle, the son of Irish Marina won 24 races throughout his career spanning over three and a half years, with a 29.49s win under his belt while prepared by leading Victorian trainer Jeff Britton as a career highlight.
Milky recently returned home to Thurkettle's property winning two races in the space of five days in December at Bulli and Richmond.
Thurkettle spoke glowingly off Milky saying he's been an outstanding ride of success for the son of Spring Gun.
"Fire and smoke is his brother and throughout his career he's won just on $80,000 so they have been magnificent dogs a real credit to their mother Irish Marina, herself a Wentworth Park winner on many occasions. Old Milky will make a great pet and that's what he deserves now," Graham Thurkettle said.
He debuted at Cowra on October 15, 2016.
