Pee Wee Tom and his owner Ken Harris took five hours to come into town for Australia Day from their property Lockhart, 30km away - but it's something both owner and horse are happy to do every year and adds a touch of history to the proceedings.

"Pee Wee Tom was his trotting name, and I've kept it, but he never raced," said Mr Harris.
"They trialled him but he was just too slow - I'm glad about that because he's a beautiful quiet horse and ideal for making journeys like this."
The property Lockhart is on the Eastern side of Bethungra, near Mount Ulandra and adjoining the Ulandra Nature Reserve.
Mr Harris is fond of the old-fashioned way of doing things, so much so that he's had a number of holidays with the Amish people in the north of New York State.
The Amish have little connection with the outside world and were amazed when he told them it took him only a day to reach the US from the other side of the planet.
He admires especially how respectful the Amish children are of their parents.
"There's no Sunday school because the parents are wholly responsible for their children's education."
After they turn 16 Amish teenagers go out into the world, but most come back.
Mr Harris will be visiting the Amish again in May.
