Cootamundra Big O Dirnaseer Dash organisers hope local road cyclists will turn out in support of the club when it hosts the event on Sunday, March 15.
The 40km event is race two of the Tour de Riverina.
Cootamundra Cycle Club's Mark Loiterton said many of the club's riders are currently road biking but he hopes they will take out one day licences for the March 15 event.
"It's only 40ks so they should be fit enough to race, but we won't know how many are going to take part until entries start to come in.
"We'll know more after Tolland (on March 7)," he said.
Last year's Big O was taken out by Cootamundra Club members Jack Douglas and Vanessa Bennett, who is now living at Young.
Only 40km in length the Dash certainly packs a punch, with just shy of 500m of climbing packed in.
The junior event will also make its return after a great turn out last year.
The kids will again complete a 8km ride which culminates with everyone's favourite pinch!
Sign on from 8:30 - 9:30 at the Olympic Hotel before race start at 10am from the Cootamundra road - Sutton's lane crossroads (Junior event will depart after the scratch markers).

Tolland's Peter Treloar took a big step toward a second Tour de Riverina title after holding off a couple of young guns at The Rock Classic last Sunday.
Road approval issues forced the series opener to be moved to Uranquinty, with the scratch riders dominating the rest of the field in windy conditions.
Tolland Cycling Club's Treloar, who won the series title in 2013, beat home teenagers Zach Owen (Albury-Wodonga) and Zac Barnhill (Wagga Cycling Club) to claim maximum points.
Treloar completed the slightly shorter 65km course in just over an hour-and-a-half, with Griffith's Jenny Massey the first female finisher.
Tolland Cycling Club president Will Silver said class prevailed on the less protected Uranquinty circuit.
"The scratch guys broke up the field on the last lap and finished a fair bit in front of the main bunch," he said.
"It was carnage. It was windy out there and the course is quite lumpy, so it was pretty testing."
