It often pays to have a home ground advantage and this was certainly the case for a number of local teams who were among the winners at the highly successful Coota Beach volleyball earlier this month winning both the C and D grade competitions.

Settsy and We Know It took out C Grade from another local team Sandflies.
It was an all local affair in d Grade was well with Cootachella defeating Sand Blastards.
The A grade competition went to Newcastle team Fun Committee who defeated Volley Trolls.
YMYD were the A Reserve winners.
In B grade Canberra team Dragons OZ defeated Net Ninjas.
The winner of the Queen Bed Ensemble donated by Sealy and Turners Furniture One for the "Local Best and Fairest Player" was Stephen Willoughby.
One hundred and twenty four teams took part this year with an estimated 600 visitors bringing the town to life, justifying the hard work put in by the four-person committee and especially by Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council.
