The Cootamundra teams are called the Bradman XI and the Murdoch XI.
Why Bradman and Murdoch? Because Bradman was born in Cootamundra in 1908 and Bill Murdoch was captain of Australia while living in Cootamundra between 1881 and 1884 and played several matches at Albert Park.
It's a great way to honour two former Australian captains.
Each team will contain six senior players, two under 16 players plus three NSW players.
The Bradman XI are Dean Bradley (Capt.) Matt Berkrey, Gene Kessell, Jack Caldwell, John Stephens and Luke Izzard.
The two under 16 players are Jed Guthrie and Nic Louttit and the 12th man is Koby Godbier. Three NSW players are to be named.
The Murdoch XI are Nathan Corby (Capt.) David Garness, Ryan Breese, James Smith, Mark Elia and Scott Meale. The two under 16 players are Lachlan Webb and Harvey Holt.
The 12th man is Dylan Vivian and the three NSW players are yet to be named.
Selectors David Garness and Dean Bradley have done great job selecting two even sides. It should be noted that a couple of players have declined the invitation to play.
The six NSW players are expected to be confirmed on Monday.
I can confirm the following ambassadors are attending the Baggy Blues tour: Steve Rixon, Trevor Bayliss, Rick McCosker, Steve Small, Richard Chee Quee, Gavin Robertson, Mark O'Neill, plus organiser Phil Marks who played 13 matches for NSW.
The day/night match commences at 6pm and, with a 30-minute dinner break at the change of innings, the match should conclude at 9.15pm.
The umpires for the match are Jeff Egan and Jeff White.
The activities at Fisher Park commence with a coaching class conducted by Warren Smith starting at 4pm.
On Wednesday night March 11, the Cootamundra District Cricket Association is holding a dinner at the Ex-Services Club commencing at 7.30pm.
