STATES

* Public health emergencies declared in Queensland, Victoria, ACT and South Australia.

* Tasmania will require arrivals to complete a passenger arrival card.

* People and businesses in NSW could face jail time and fines of up to $11,000 if they fail to comply with mass gathering bans.

* In Queensland there are fines of up to $13,000 for people failing to self-isolate for 14 days after entering Australia

* Fines of up to $20,000 for failing to self-isolate in Victoria

* State RSL branches are cancelling Anzac Day events

NATIONAL

* Travel bans on all visitors from China, Iran, South Korea and Italy.

* 14-day isolation required for all international arrivals to Australia.
