Murrumbidgee Local Health District has tested 626 people in its 125,000 square kilometre region since April 4, but detected only two cases of Covid-19.
MLHD's report on Wednesday April 15 showed two new cases over the long weekend, one in Albury City LGA and one in Cootamundra-Gundagai council area.
The Albury result was reported by MLHD on Easter Saturday, and the Coota-Gundagai case on Good Friday. The total number of cases identified in the district remains at 44.
Of these, 25 people have recovered. There has been only one death, that of an Albury woman aged 74, who died the week before last.
Two of the remaining 18 people still being treated for Covid-19 are in the Cootamundra-Gundagai local government area, although the MLHD will not specify whether they are in Cootamundra or Gundagai.
The MLHD is urging anyone who believes they may have contracted the virus to call its hotline on 1800 831 099, open daily from 7am - 9pm.
