Last week a rather unique game of Lawn Bowls was played at the Cootamundra Country Club.
It was a Major Singles game between two of our senior bowlers, Kevin "Scobie" Breasley and Ronald Johnson who are still playing the game because of a relatively new aid.
Both of these gentlemen a few years ago had decided their bowling days were over because of the back ache problem that restricted bending down to deliver the bowls.
A device called a "Bowling Arm " came on the market and both men bought one and as a result, two very proficient bowlers were able to continue playing the game they enjoy.
Thus, as was expected both men began well as scores of 7 all, 8 all, 11 all and 13 all, indicated and then the scene changed with Kevin winning successive ends and going on to record a (32-16) victory.
Congratulations "Scobiie" and may you and Ron be able to play many more years because of the "Bowling Arm".
